What is Arimidex?

 Arimidex is the trade name for Anastrozole, an anti-estrogen drug introduced by Zenaca Pharmaceuticals in the mid-1990s to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Unlike Nolvadex, which was the most common method of treating breast cancer at the time, Arimidex completely blocks the aromatase enzyme, thereby reducing estrogen levels by up to 80%.

This meant that there were no estrogens circulating in the body for cancer cells to piggyback on.

Today, Arimidex is still considered the first line of defense against hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Nolvadex may be introduced when the cancer is in remission.

In the cycle of anabolic steroids, it's usage is almost the same. It inhibits the aromatase enzyme, thereby preventing the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.

This helps prevent the concentration of side effects associated with high levels of estrogen. The most notable of these is gynecomastia.

How to use Arimidex

 The use of Arimidex or other AI during the cycle depends on the compound used.

The most commonly used basic anabolic steroid cycle is to use Test-E at 500 mg / week for 12 weeks.

In these situations, users typically deploy Arimidex in the second week of the cycle and continue to use it throughout the cycle.
