It wasn't literally the very first thing he did though. He talked to Turael. And there were clear"I" icons, which are commonly known in games (and websites and programs ) to have advice if they're clicked RuneScape gold on or hovered over. The wardrobe interface had advice he quickly closed and did not bother to read. You're right its not necessarily the first thing that they see. But they didn't spend the first 10 mins off island trying to navigate MTX therefore its still among the things that they did. That's still confusing and bad though?
I'm convinced a lot of RS Runescape players have experience too many other MMORPG's because MTX is occasionally blasted right out the gate/after tutorials. I will admit they need to do a much better job of drip feeding, and its general look. Hide it in menus, and push Solomons save a little more. Have their cosmetic store front and center in the menus or as pop ups. I also believe they need to follow other MMO's concept of GIVING that the Runescape player lesser things from TH, such as little prismatic stars(put in a tool tip stating what it does, and how to get more when hovering over it) that way they can get an idea about what they're gont be paying for when they need another star in the future.
They need to do a better job of leading people! Right on mind BS that you are most likely gonna close. Right off the bat just to get a taste of what there's to offer. The entire"This one's about the house" method of presenting MTX will continue better in the long run with new Runescape players I think. Even with the two free keys.
They do provide you with a key or 2 when you're a member. But I feel the overlap between individuals who play with games that are and that play mmo's is big. So I am curious. Mobile games are sort of a different beast that make the men and women who can afford it sense just good enough they are prepared to blindly spend the cash very fast and they either continue and invest more or less leave.I'm aware of the two free keys I mentioned, but they should plop one at the new Runescape players inventory for a way to entice them in to Treasure Hunter rather than hammering it directly in front of their face right from the start. All about in your face the MTX item is are. This would he a far better strategy.
